Shihlin Official Residence - blooming sesaon

The Shihlin Official Residence is located on Chungshan North Road in Taipei City's Shihlin District. It was the former home of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.

This elegant garden with romantic European style is pretty huge. You need to take time to stroll.

According to the news from the SOR, they planted large number roses because Madame Chiang Kai-shek loved it. But, the garden has many other types of flowers.

The transportation is quite convenient. Taking the MRT to the Shilin Station, you just go through the Chungshan North Road, and you will find it. Most of the time, you can ask the correct way from the pedestrian.

If you need to escape from the lousy life, you just come here and relax.

The marsh next to the garden form a small environment-friendly region.

The wooden trail surrounding the marsh leads the people to understand more ecosystem.

Former mayor's official residence

Chinese style pavilions are some of the best rest areas.

The archaized house has it's own characteristic.
The front door of the exhibition hall.

The flowers were planted in the greenhouse.

I know it is chrysanthemum, but I am not sure the name.

Here, you can see many kinds of chrysanthemum.

The hall exhibited the flower arrangements which were designed by some famous artists.

Each set has it's own theme. The themes are mainly based on the traditional stories from the West to the East.

I really like this special stuff. The transparent bowl with some blue color stones can emphasized the red lotus. This set combined the modern element and traditional spirit together.

Small fountain encircling the beautiful flowers could be one of the best photo spots

I can't name those, but I really enjoy them. How lovely they are!

I usually went to the Shihlin Official Residence with girlfriend on weekend in the fall. I didn't spend too much time or money for transportation. The natural environment released my pressures; as well as, It might be one of the last pure land in Taipei. I can read the novel wrote by Milan Kundera, or sketched some nice views. Taking a short rest, I ate James-made sandwiches and drank coffee.  Pretending a king's song, I enjoyed the fun time.
